Framework agreement – Evaluation of project proposals submitted under the 2014-2020 Regional Operational Programme in the South-East Region of Romania

SMART Integration alongside his partner Think Development & Consultancy supports the Regional Development Agency – South East Region, Romania as an Intermediate Body for the Regional Operational Programme, by providing specialized expertise for technical and financial evaluation of projects submitted under the programme through evaluation of the following:

⦿ How projects respond to the achievement of investment priorities and to the specific objectives of the ROP;
⦿ Quality, maturity and sustainability of project proposals;
⦿ Respect for the principles of sustainable development;
⦿ Equal opportunities, gender equality and non-discrimination;
⦿ Complementary with other investments, with relevant strategic documents and strategic investment planning and with financial and operational capacity of the applicant.

Context of the project
Starting January 1st, 2007, Romania has become a member of the European Union. This status includes both rights and obligations deriving from the Treaties of the European Union and from the Community legislation. In this context, Romania has assumed compliance with the provisions of The Community acquis.
Among the identified European funding programs is the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, which has been structured on 12 priority axes. More information about this programme is available here .

Main objective of the project is to support central and regional public institutions involved in management and implementation of the ROP by financing mature projects that respond to the objectives of the programme.
