Project Ministry of Internal Affairs

SMART Integration and AAM Management Information Consulting Private Company Limited by Shares announce a new project for “Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to manage European Funds, to transpose and implement the Community acquis”, SMIS code 32862.
The project is funded under Priority Axis 1 “Structural and process improvements of the public policy management cycle” of the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity Development 2007 – 2013, Key Area of Intervention 1.3 “Improve organisational effectiveness”, indicative operation 1.3 “Training modules in the fields of public procurement, ECDL, foreign languages, project development, tendering and project management etc”. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of MIA to actively participate in the decision-making process of adopting European policies and legislation and to increase the accountability of MIA employees involved in the European Funds management and in the transposition and implementation of the Community acquis.
SMART Integration will provide training for 100 persons by disseminating 3 Procedure Guides developed under the project:
- Procedure Guide on dissemination of information received from the EU and evaluation of impact of draft European legislation;
- Procedure Guide on ensuring efficient MIA representation in the working groups of the EU Council and of the European Commission;
- Procedure Guide on transposition and implementation of European legislation in the national legal system and monitoring the implementation of the Community acquis.
SMART Integration will also organise 4 study visits to Brussels.
