The objective of the Ministry of European Funds for 2016: Supporting the beneficiaries of projects financed by European funds

Ministry of European Funds (MEF) held yesterday, December 22nd 2015, a press conference to present the work done since Aura Raducu became Minister and the targets set for 2016. This was the first in a series of meetings that will organize monthly.

The vision presented by Minister of EU funds represents a system of management of the operational programs financed from European funds that will be clear, transparent and accessible to beneficiaries, so as to obtain projects with a real impact on economic and social development of Romania.

The objectives set by MEF for 2016 is to meet ex-ante conditionality for European funds in the programming period 2014-2020, total transparency of program implementation and European projects supporting the beneficiaries of projects financed by European funds, accelerate the implementation of funded programs ESI 2014-2020 and not least the closing operational programs 2007-2013.

This goal was achieved by developing MySMIS 2014 electronic system that supports beneficiaries and ensure the collection of information on fully funded projects ESI beneficiaries and transmit the data required by the management and control of operational programs.

Regarding the 2014-2020 programming period, Ms. Minister presented the launching of calls for projects funded operational programs. To manage European funds in the first half of 2016 the Ministry of European Funds will complete all the necessary steps accreditation process for the authorities involved in fund management system ESI 2014-2020.
