Operational Programme Human Capital: 1,000 educational, human resources and health projects under implementation

The progress made by the team managing the Human Capital Operational Program was presented to the Joint Monitoring Committee at the end of last week in Bucharest in the presence of representatives of the European Commission, the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance and other institutions involved in the implementation.

The updated status of Program implementation was presented:
⦿ 1,000 signed contracts, amounting to EUR 3.1 billion (64% of the allocation);
⦿ EUR 810 million – payments made to beneficiaries through the Programme;
⦿ EUR 3.9 billion – value of calls for projects launched (76% of the allocation);
⦿ EUR 1.4 billion – amount of calls in preparation.

The Operational Programme Human Capital Monitoring Committee debated ways to streamline the implementation process and also to process payments to beneficiaries.

The Ministry of European Funds has announced the launch of a new institutional site scheduled for early next month that will reflect all relevant activity in public communication but also with European fund beneficiaries so that the ministry can provide the premises for a better dialogue with the market but also to increase transparency across each managed program.

The Operational Programme Human Capital is the largest Romanian program funded by the European Social Fund. With an allocation of 4.3 billion euros, the Programme funds projects in areas such as human resources, health and education.
